The Three Cups Hotel sits on Broad Street, in Lyme Regis. For over 200 years now, it has been a significant part of the town's heritage and style and has been a port of call for thousands of guests to the town, including many famous and influential people.
But all that could be about to change! Unless we can get sufficient support, one of the options for this building is to demolish all but the frontage of the building and convert it into flats and retail outlets. Subject to further consultation, this option has not been ruled out.
We want to prevent this from happening. We wish to preserve the beauty and splendour of this building and restore it to it's former glory. We'd like to see it turned back into a hotel and used as on asset for both the town and visitors to the town.
Although it has been left empty for over 20 years and had no significant investment for more than 40 years, , we know that it is possible to re-open it as a hotel. The inside, whilst dilapidated, is still structurally sound. Previous health & safety issues have been addressed, but will need to be closely monitored to avoid any recurrence

It would be greatly appreciated if visitors to this site would click the 'Blog' tab at the top of the page and leave comments on the stories on Andrew Townsend's blog.
This would show opponents of our cause that people DO care about this cause and it would highlight those concerns to everyone.
Thank you!
